Pelora is a tool for tracking a personal GLP-1 routine — something that involves genuinely sensitive health details. This policy explains, in plain language, exactly what we collect, what we do with it, and what we never do.
The short version
- Your shot logs, nutrition entries, weight, and side-effect records are stored locally on your device unless you choose Premium cloud backup.
- We do not sell your health data. Not ever, not to anyone.
- We do not use your health data for advertising — Pelora doesn't run ads at all.
- Optional Premium backup uses your private iCloud container on iOS or Pelora's hidden app-data folder in your Google Drive on Android.
- RevenueCat manages subscription status only — it never receives your health data.
1. Who we are
Pelora is operated by Op Studio (Openverse). If you have questions about this policy, contact us at privacy@openverse.tech. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
2. What data we collect
Shot, nutrition, weight, and side-effect data
When you log a shot, dose, injection site, protein or water intake, weight entry, or side effect, that data is stored locally on your iPhone or Android device. It does not automatically leave your device or reach a Pelora-operated tracking-data server. Your operating system may include local app data in a system-level device backup according to your Apple or Google backup settings.
Optional Premium cloud backup
Pelora offers an opt-in backup feature for Premium subscribers. On iOS, it stores a copy in your private iCloud container using Apple's CloudKit. On Android, it requests the narrow drive.appdata permission only when you tap Back up or Restore, then stores one backup file in Pelora's hidden application-data folder in your Google Drive. Other Drive apps cannot access that folder and it is not visible in the normal Drive file list. Apple or Google hosts this data under your account; Op Studio cannot browse your private cloud backup. Restoring merges records additively and does not silently replace newer local records.
Subscription and payment data
Payments are processed through Apple's App Store on iOS or Google Play on Android. Pelora uses RevenueCat to manage subscription status. Neither RevenueCat nor Pelora receives your full card details. RevenueCat receives an app-specific subscriber identifier, purchase/product information, and entitlement status; it does not receive your shot logs, nutrition data, weight, side effects, or notes.
What we do not collect or use
- No advertising SDKs and no advertising identifiers — Pelora does not run ads.
- No location or GPS data.
- No contacts, photos, or camera access beyond what you explicitly choose to attach (e.g., a progress photo you take or select yourself).
- No Pelora email/password account is required. Android cloud backup uses Google authorization only to reach Pelora's hidden Drive app-data folder.
3. How we use your data
Because nearly all of your tracking data stays on your device, there is very little for us to "use." The narrow exceptions:
- Optional cloud backup: If you use Premium backup, a copy is written to your private iCloud container on iOS or Pelora's hidden Google Drive app-data folder on Android so you can restore it later.
- Subscription status: RevenueCat tells the app whether your subscription is active so Premium features unlock correctly.
We do not use your data for marketing profiling, behavioral advertising, or any form of automated decision-making that affects you.
4. Who we share your data with
Pelora works with a small number of infrastructure providers:
- Apple (CloudKit) — Optional iOS Premium backup storage in your private iCloud container.
- Google (Drive app data) — Optional Android Premium backup storage in Pelora's hidden application-data folder under your Google Account.
- RevenueCat — Subscription management; receives an app-specific subscriber identifier and entitlement/product status, not your health logs.
We do not sell, rent, or license your data to any third party. We do not share your data with data brokers, insurers, employers, or marketers. If we are ever required by law to disclose data, we will notify you as permitted by law before doing so.
5. Data retention and deletion
Your local tracking data remains until you delete it in Pelora or uninstall the app, subject to your operating system's device-backup settings. Deleting local data does not automatically delete an optional cloud copy. iCloud data is controlled through your Apple account. On Android, you can remove Pelora's hidden app data through Google Drive's app-management controls. Revoking Pelora's Drive permission stops future access but should not be treated as a backup-deletion action. RevenueCat retains purchase records as needed to provide entitlements and meet legal obligations. To ask questions about deletion, email privacy@openverse.tech.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data associated with your use of the app
- Correct inaccurate data (directly, in the app — it's your local data)
- Request deletion of your data
- Data portability — Pelora already supports this natively via free CSV/JSON export, anytime
To exercise any of these rights or ask questions, contact us at privacy@openverse.tech.
7. Children's privacy
Pelora is not designed for, and does not knowingly collect data from, children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app and shared personal information with us, please contact us and we will address it promptly.
8. Security
Your tracking data is stored using the operating system's protected app storage. Optional cloud backup is scoped to Pelora's private CloudKit container or hidden Google Drive app-data folder under your account and transmitted over HTTPS. Access tokens are short-lived and managed by the platform authorization service; Pelora does not store your Google password. We regularly review our security practices and will notify you of a breach as required by applicable law.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, the updated date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
